Could The Dogtra 2500 TB Be The Right Training Collar For Your Dog?
The Dogtra 2500 T&B series has been heralded as one of the world’s finest electronic collars. The compact trainer and beeper is very light-weight and especially designed for the serious upland hunter. Unlike the other beeper units, which have the horn located right on the top of the dog’s head. Dogtra has the beeper horn straight into the receiver. When your dog can’t be seen or is on point it allows you to keep tabs of your dogs position without effort. Behaviour management is an alternative use for the remote collar. With the transmitter and the collar being 100% waterproof this makes the unit desirable to use in any weather conditions, even in heavy snow conditions. The transmitter for 2500 T&B series has a number of different buttons; here is a description about each:
Nick: Gives out a single pulse of electric stimulation and lasts only momentarily
Constant: Allows continuous electrical stimulation for a maximum of 12 seconds. You can apply it for less than 12 seconds by releasing the button when you want. It will however turn off automatically after twelve seconds.
Locate: As the name indicates it assists in keeping track of your dog’s location. It is found of the left side of the transmitter and when depressed, this leads the beeper horn to sound off a sequence of beeps. A simple adjustment is all that is needed depending whether you want high or low tones.
Mode: The locate, the run/point and the point only are the three different modes on the Dogtra 2500 TB. Locate mode can be activated just by pressing the locate button, it can be used even if you have chosen any other setting via the ‘mode’ button. Pushing the button once will indicate the setting of the ‘run/point’ mode. The beeper will then sound every 7 seconds when the dog is running and every 2 seconds when he’s in a stationary mode. To put the beeper into ‘point only’ position the button must be pushed again. Every two seconds you will hear the beeper go off if the dog is still but if the dog is running the beeper will stay silent. Turning off the beeper unit requires the button to be pushed three times. Four hundred yards is the range of the beeper.
The Dogtra 2500 T&B series makes bold claims but it can live up to each of them with its faultless performance. It has a Lithium-Polymer battery which has an first-class battery life-span and has a charge time of only two hours, it also comes with a lanyard and belt clip.
Zero to 127 are the levels of electrical stimulation for the nick and constant buttons. The LED screen on the transmitter displays the strength of the selected stimulation level and the level of the battery’s charge. Thanks to the Dogtra 2500 TB there are many very satisfied customers out there who have been able to train their dogs in the best possible fashion due to their fantastic buy. Maybe you will be one of them..
